Importing Activities
In order to import 'Activities', you will need to be an administrator and have access to the Account Settings. You can find an example file in the following article.
1. Navigate to Import Activities
Go to Account settings, select Import, and navigate to Activities.
2. (Optional) Delete Existing Activities
If you want to replace existing activities with the newly imported ones, you can delete them before the import. If you do not want to delete the existing ones, skip this step and proceed to Step 3.
To delete:
- Collapse the Field Mappings tab or scroll down to the bottom of the page to Upload and Import.
- Check the box for Delete all activities first.
- Click Confirm DELETE ALL ACTIVITIES.
3. Define Field Names
Before selecting the import file, define the Import file field names so they align with your .csv file and click Save. Columns marked with a (*) are required for a successful import. Some fields have a ? icon that provides additional setup details—hover over it for more information.
Additionally, you need to define the mapping types between single column, multiple columns, and fixed value. More details on mapping types can be found in this article.
Before importing the .csv file, ensure that the imported data aligns with existing information in the tool, including Site ID, Activity Name (activity category), etc.
4. Import the File
To import:
- Click Choose File at the bottom of the page.
- Select the CSV import file and click Open.
- After the upload, the Confirm Import button will become available.
The import process should only take a few seconds.
